TCDCC Seeks Member from Talbot County

The Talbot County Democratic Central Committee (TCDCC) is announcing that it will fill a vacancy for a member who identifies as male or non-binary from Talbot County. The new member will complete a term ending November 2026. To be eligible, as of the date of appointment, a candidate must fulfill the following criteria:

  1. Be registered to vote as a member of the Democratic Party, and

  2. Be registered as living in Talbot County, Maryland, and

  3. Identify as male or non-binary

The TCDCC especially welcomes interest from applicants with any of these skills and/or experience:

  • Data Systems

  • Financial

  • Fundraising

Candidates apply by:

  1. submitting a letter of interest and

  2. submitting a resume or a completed applicant form.

Due Saturday, January 31, 2026, by 11:59 p.m. ET

Interviews will take place BEFORE February 14, 2026 (Date TBD), in-person at an Easton location. The TCDCC aims to fill the vacancy at the regular public monthly meeting on Saturday, February 14, 2025, beginning at 10:45 am. The Committee will announce its decision at the conclusion of the TCDCC public meeting.

The Talbot County Democratic Central Committee is a gender-balanced group of 10 members elected to 4-year terms representing Talbot County. Members are responsible for leading and organizing the day-to-day operations of the local Democratic Party, as well as appointing or nominating replacements if and when some elected offices become vacant before the completion of their term. The TCDCC champions principles of equity, justice, and opportunity for all.

Being a central committee member involves attending monthly meetings locally and quarterly meetings of the state central committee. Members participate in activities such as fundraising, candidate recruitment, voter registration, community service, organizing and more.
